The search for Blogging Software.

The image I choose for today is from one of the blogs that I have been working on in addition to this one. I am testing another new Mac blogging software. This one is called. Ecto. I could not figure out how to choose a size as I inserted the image, but once it is inserted, you can edit it and adjust the image size. it does allow me to direct how the text should flow around the images, by setting float to either left or right. It still does not have wonderful easy to understand and use automatic image formatting that made Windows Live Writer my favorite blogging software. Live Writer would automatically add a drop shadow and copyright watermark.

☀晴©❦ and can be added quite easily. → and ㊨ (Right arrows in English and Kanji) and even a thunderstorm ☈.

While the practical uses of some of these might be limited, It was fun. It does have some features I have not seen before, An Amazon helper and a Flickr Helper.

The following is an affiliate link created with the Amazon Helper. I had to spend a few minutes searching for how to set it up, but it was time well spent as the link went in quickly and did not have any of the issues with formatting that I have run into with blogging software. Full disclosure on this link, it is an Amazon affiliate link to a book by an author that I know. I was privileged to be able to read portions of this prior to publication and enjoyed it very much.

“Haunted Ground: Journeys through a Paranormal America” (Darryl V. Caterine)

There are a couple of other features that I like, You can adjust the publication date, Create Summary and the tags and Categories are easy to see and use. There is also a notification feature. I am not sure how that is going to work as of yet, but I am going to try it out. All and all I am very impressed with Ecto and will continue to give it a try.
